A trademark sample is a visual representation of the letters, words, or typographic styling that you want to register and protect. Because this sample defines what the registration covers, upload it exactly as required and include every term or layout you need protected. You cannot change the sample after the application is submitted.
Upload an image or PDF that shows the figurative or logo mark exactly as it should appear in the register. The sample must match the design you claim; no changes are allowed after submission.
Upload one sample that shows the figurative element and the word element together, exactly as the combined mark should be protected. Ensure both parts appear as they will be registered.
Upload images or a PDF showing the three-dimensional mark from the views required by your office. The specimen must clearly identify the protected shape.
Upload images or a PDF that represents the motion mark (for example key frames or a sequence as required by your filing guidelines).
Upload an image or PDF that shows the color mark clearly (for example the claimed color and how it is used on the specimen), following your office requirements.
Upload one MP3 file of the sound mark (maximum 10 MB). The recording must match the sound you seek to register. You cannot replace this file after submission.
The written statements included in the uploaded trademark sample must be indicated in this field. The element to be registered is the trademark sample, and written statements not included in this sample cannot be indicated. This field must be filled in lowercase. If uppercase characters are used, the statement will be converted to lowercase as you type.
If any letters other than those in the Latin alphabet (Cyrillic, Arabic, etc.) are used in the brand sample, please indicate their equivalents in the Latin alphabet.
A "cover letter" is an official document stating that a trademark application has been submitted to the relevant authorities, if needed or requested by the natural or legal person applying for a trademark. If a cover letter is requested, the fee for preparing the cover letter will be added to the application fee.
